North: Many places in west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal pradesh; a few places in east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, east Rajasthan; isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir, west Rajasthan.

Central: Many places in Chattisgarh; a few places in east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha; isolated places in west Madhya Pradesh.

Peninsula: Many places in north Konkan;a few places in south Gujarat State, south Konkan and Goa, north coastal Andhra Pradesh, telangana, coastal Karnataka, Kerala; isolated places in north Gujarat State, Madhya Pradesh Maharashtra, Marathwada, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka.

Islands: Many places in Andaman and Nicobar; a few places in Lakshadweep.

The axis of the monsoon trough at sea level passes through Ferozpur, Aligarh, Lucknow, Daltonganj, Midnapore, Sagar Islands and thence southeastwards to east central Bay of Bengal.

The cyclonic circulation extending upto mid metropospheric levels over Orissa and neighbourhood tilting southwestwards with height persists. The cyclonic circulation over west Uttar Pradesh and neighbourhood persists and now extends upto 0.9 kms a.s.l.

A cyclonic circulation lies over Punjab and neighbourhood between 3.1 and 5.8 kms a.s.l. Above two systems are likely to move eastnortheastwards.

Total rainfall during the past 24 hours at 162 available stations in the plains, out of 291 stations, is 57 cms. Normal for the above 162 stations is 133 cms.

The southwest Monsoon has been active in Orissa. it has been subdued in West Bengal and Sikkim, Rajasthan, Madhya pradesh, Gujarat State, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Andhra Pradesh, karnataka and Kerala.
