East: Isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and mainly dry in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.

North: Isolated places in Jammu and Kashmir and mainly dry in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan.

Central: Mainly dry.

Peninsula: Mainly dry.

Islands: A few places in Nicobar; isolated places in Andaman and mainly dry in Lakshadweep.
