The low pressure area over east Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood now lies over northwest Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood. Associated cyclonic circulation extends upto mid tropospheri levels.

The axis of the monsoon trough at sea level passes through Phalodi, centre of low pressure area, Allahabad, Gaya, Sriniketan and thence southeastwards to east central Bay of Bengal.

The off-shore trough at sea level from Maharashtra coast to Keral coast persists. The cyclonic circulation over east Rajasthan and neighbourhood now lies over west Rajasthan and neighbourhood and extends upto 1.5 kms a.s.l.

The western disturbance as an upper air system over north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu and Kashmir persists.

System is likely to move eastnortheastwards.

Total rainfall during the past 24 hours at 174 available stations in the plains, out of 291 stations, is 209 cms. Normal for the above 174 stations if 176 cms.

The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in east Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh and active in east Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat region. It has been subdued in Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.
