CALCUTTA: Top seed International Master Zia-ur-Rahman of Bangladesh annexed the Millennium Open Chess crown by virtue of his superior tie-break after tallying 8.5 points.
In a four-way tie for the first place, Goodricke National Chess Academy’s SuryaShekher Ganguly was declared runner-up while the third and fourth place honours went to Enamul Hossain (Bangladesh) and T V Karthikeyan (Tamil Nadu) respectively.
