NAGPUR, JAN 20: Indo Rama Synthetics Limited, polyester yarn manufacturers, have been duped of over Rs 1.46 crore by a Mumbai-based group of polyester purchasers.

The rural police have launched an enquiry into the cheating case upon a complaint lodged by Indo Rama general manager Govind Singh Sardar Harbans Singh Sahani after the cheques advanced by the purchasers to the company were returned by the bank owing to lack of sufficient balance.

Although the company approached the police with a cheating complaint, its authorities were not inclined to provide information about the Mumbai-based group that allegedly played the trick.
