NEW DELHI, December 28: Annual rate of inflation fell below the four per cent mark once again to touch 3.94 per cent for the week ended December 13.
The rate of increase in prices, based on wholesale price index (WPI), decreased by 0.13 percentage points to 3.94 per cent from 4.07 per cent in the previous week and 7.39 per cent in the corresponding week of last year. In fact, it was in the last week that inflation had gone above the 4% mark for the first time in seven weeks, during which it even touched an 11-year low of 3.20 per cent on November eighth. The index for "all commodities" rose marginally during the week to 332.5.
