
SURAT, Dec 1: The 18th Annual National Convention of the Indian Society for Studies in Co-operatives, which concluded in Surat on Sunday, has recommended that educational and economic programmes based upon proper assessment of need should be undertaken to enhance member loyalty and management ethics.
About 100 delegates participated in the convention organised by the Department of Rural Studies. Managing Director of National Dairy Development Board N K Chavada, Executive Director, KRIBHCO, made a special presentation at the convention. Prof S P Punalekar, former director of the Centre for Social Studies delivered the keynote address, while director of National Co-operative Management Institute Prof U K Srivastava delivered the valedictory lecture.
