
CHANDIGARH, July 22: Local MP Satya Pal Jain has urged the Government of India to implement the agreement reached last year in a meeting held between the management and Joint Action Committee of employees of the PGI, according to a press release issued by the MP here today.The compromise was arrived at by the Joint Action Committee formed by then Union health minister, which consisted of two MPs Satya Pal Jain and Vinod Sharma. He had recently met the Union Health Minister, Dalit Ezhilmalai.
, Satya Pal Jain apprised him of the fact that the decisions of the agreement have yet not been implemented, according to the release. He told the Minister that the PGI employees were looking towards the new government with hope, the release added.
Jain said that he would give the Minister the first hand information of the situation which he had asked for after the Parliament session was over.
He also urged the Health Minister to form the Institute Body and the Governing Body of PGI as soon as possible.
