RAJKOT, APRIL 30: Pipli village in Lalpur taluka of Jamnagar district has been declared as `cholera-affected’ as several positive cases of cholera were detected by the officials while seven surrounding villages in the same district were declared as “cholera threatened”.

According to official sources, district magistrate of Jamnagar, Girishchandra Murmu had issued the notification after finding some cases of cholera in the Pipli village.

The villages of Pipli, declared as cholera threatened are – Meghnu, Kanaloos, Navagam, Balambhadi, Dodhia, Khoja-Bneraja and Gaduka the sources said.

The taluka revenue chief of Lalpur taluka has

been appointed as cholera prevention officer, the sources added.
