CHENNAI, SEPT 27: Considerable excitement is likely to be witnessed in the special court trying corruption cases against AIADMK general secretary J Jayalalitha and others on September 30 when a luxury bus purchased by the former chief minister will be produced as material evidence.Special Judge I S Sambandam on Monday ordered issue of summons to the authorities to produce the luxury bus in the court on the next hearing of the Rs 66.65 crore disproportionate wealth case involving Jayalalitha and three others. The orders were issued on a memorandum filed by the DVAC, which is investigating the case. The DVAC submitted that on September 30, two witnesses Gurudev Singh and Devarajan have been summoned. They will speak about the bus' "body building" by Bharath Industries, Mumbai and about the bus chassis supplied by Ashok Leyland.``To enable the witnesses to identify the luxury bus it is necessary to produce the same, which is in the custody of the State Express Transport Corporation,'' the memosaid.Meanwhile, the judge allowed a petition from M Natarajan, husband of Jayalalitha's close friend Sasikala, seeking copies of the DVAC petition praying for permission to search his house.
