MUMBAI, March 8: To help persons suffering from AIDS and various heart ailments develop a positive outlook towards life, the JJ Hospital launched a unique programme on Saturday.
The programme comprises training in meditation, yoga and lessons in developing a lifestyle which will strengthen their immune system. “Our approach will benefit the patients since they have an acute fear of death which affects them more than the actual disease,” said Dr R G Bhusale, vice dean of the hospital. The lifestyle suggested includes special daily regimen of diet and exercises to help heart patients reduce the blockage of arteries.
