mumbai, march 17 former Maharashtra chief minister Manohar Joshi today said he was firm on his decision to resign his Assembly seat but was still awaiting a copy of the Bombay HC order in the Pune land case.

"I will submit my resignation after studying the order and with the consent of the chief Thackeray with whom I discussed the matter day before yesterday," Joshi told pti today. The discussions with Thackeray were incomplete and the date when he would submit resignation would be decided after another meeting with the Sena chief, he said.

Joshi, who holds the Dadar Assembly seat in central Mumbai, said he had now decided not to make a statement about the case on the floor of the Assembly.

Earlier, he had announced at a press conference that he would make a statement in the House prior to tendering resignation.
