NEW DELHI, February 15: Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Raghubir Singh has issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against former chief minister Sahib Singh Verma’s nephew Neeraj after he failed to appear in court today. Neeraj and his brother Pawan are accused in the murder of property dealer Davinder Singh. The incident occurred on November 30, 1997, in Mundka.

Neeraj had earlier got interim bail from the High Court. The bail expired today and Neeraj should have surrendered in court. Instead his counsel, Ranbir Singh Malik, moved an application to exempt him from making an appearance in court. The counsel said Neeraj’s six-year-old son was ill. There was a tussle outside court between the supporters of Ne-eraj and Kuldeep. Around 10 persons were involved in the fight.
