LAKE TAHOE, JULY 11: Flamboyant promoter Don King pledged his support to Mike Tyson yesterday, a day after Nevada boxing officials revoked Tyson's license for biting Evander Holyfield.King, who has kept an unusually low profile since the Tyson fiasco in Las Vegas on June 28, failed to appear alongside his fighter Henry Akinwande here yesterday at the final news conference before Akinwande's World Boxing Council heavyweight title fight against Lennox Lewis tomorrow.Instead, King issued a written statement responding to the Nevada State Athletic Commission's decision to revoke Tyson's license and fine him $3 million.``The Nevada State Athletic Commission did what they felt they had to do, and I am not going to second guess the decision,'' the statement said. ``Instead I am going to do everything I can for Mike Tyson.``I am not making excuses for Mike, but I know him and I know that he's a good human being.
