JAMSHEDPUR, February 26: Debutant Vijay Lakshmi of Andhra Pradesh created a national record on the first day of the 12th Women’s Junior National Weightlifting Championship today by lifting, a total of 155 kg (90 in clean and jerk and 65 in snatch) in the 53-kg category at the JRD Tata Sports Complex here.

Vijay Lakshmi also won the 53-kg category followed by Rupa Saha (West Bengal) and Chandrashauri Devi (Karnataka) in the second and third positions respectively.In the 48-kg category, Tikina Gopal bagged the gold medal followed by Madhura Sinha and A Sandhya Rani.
