Lalu Prasad Yadav is bragging these days. Not about his Railways balance sheet or his Harvard jaunts, but about a new-found admirer. Those close to the Railways Minister say that his latest I-said-so moment came when the RSS mouthpiece, Organiser, reserved kind words for his rail budget. He has now begun to throw the Organiser’s weight at critics. A recent victim was the BJP’s Hiren Pathak, who stood up to criticise Lalu in Parliament. Lalu’s prompt response: “You belong to the RSS, yet you don’t agree with them.”
