Landmark HC ruling in Pallod case

June 12: The Bombay High Court today ruled in favour of the continuation of Chitra Pallod as the president of the Mahabaleshwar Municipal Council for a one-year term upto December 1997.

Pallod filed a petition against the district collector who conducted a fresh election of the president’s post last month. The division bench of Justice A V Sawant and J A Patil upheld Pallod’s claim to the post.
