Lanka activist fears assassination

A prominent human rights activist in Sri Lanka has threatened to flee the country accusing the government of “setting the stage” for his “assassination”. Mano Ganeshan, convener of Civil Monitoring Commission on Extra Judicial Killings and Disappearances in Sri Lanka and a Parliamentarian, sought more security as he felt his life was threatened and has written to President Mahinda Rajapakse appealing to increase his security.
