
PATIALA, Dec 14: Bodies of three of the victims of the Khanna train accident victims were cremated at the Rajpura road cremation grounds after nobody turned up to claim these bodies all these days.
According to an official spokesman, these last three bodies of the mishap victims were kept all these days in the government medical college here for their relatives to identify these. Since nobody turned up to identify these, the district administration decided to cremate the bodies as unclaimed.
The spokesman said that
The local S.D. Kumar Sabha and the Lions Club (Fort) bore the expenses of the cremation of the three bodies. The spokesman said adding that the district administration was represented by the general assistant to the Deputy Commissioner Devinder Singh.
A total of 84 bodies of victims of the Khanna train accident were brought to the government medical college here. These were embalmed and kept for identification by the relatives of the deceased.
