March 4: Two goals in the last three minutes brought Maharashtra State Police (MSP) a 4-3 win over Mumbai Port Trust (MPT) in the Bombay Hockey Association prize money tournament at the Mahindra Stadium today.

With MPT leading leading 3-2, Datta Shinde equalised in the 65th minute off a free hit taken by Suresh Thakras. Three minutes later, Prakash Sapkal passed to the unmarked Rohidas Musale who sent the through to Shinde to slam in the winner.

Earlier, Cheops D’Costa with a brace, kept MPT within victory’s reach. MPT went ahead in the eighth minute through Mumtaz Ahmed, his shot deflecting in off goalkeeper Ajeet Desai’s pads.

MPT were, however, quick to equalise seven minutes later through Musale, who put them ahead in the 31st minute to take the score of 2-1 into half-time.

D’Costa then converted two penalty corners in the 38th and 42nd minutes which put MPT ahead once again till Shinde’s double salvo for MSP.

COMPANEROES WIN: Companeroes Sports Club overcame Nobody SC 3-2 in anothermatch.

Companeroes lead through a seventh minute goal by Kevin D’Souza. But Nobody equalised in the 19th minute through Christopher D’Sa.

Companeroes surged ahead through a brace by Cosmos Vaz in the 44th and 48th minutes. And though Nobody pulled one back through Girish Pimple, it was not enough.
