VHP International general secretary Praveen Togadia continued his tirade against secularists by describing them as ‘‘Musharraf ki aulad’’ (Musharraf’s progeny) while addressing Sangh Parivar workers here yesterday. Tours to go on despite curbs MUMBAI: VHP general secretary Praveen Togadia will continue his Maharashtra tour despite the DF govt’s threat to ban his public meetings, the party has said. VHP Maharashtra and Goa chief Shankar Gaikar said: ‘‘The govt says Praveenbhai’s speeches disturb law and order in the state. But, where was this concern when riots erupted in Badlapur and Solapur which have no history of communal violence,’’ he asked. (ENS) ‘‘When (Australian missionary) Graham Staines died (in Orissa), the entire world screamed against it but when 57 Hindus were charred to death in the train (in Godhra), these secularists did not raise their voice,’’ Togadia said adding, ‘‘because of these secularists Hindus have become second class citizen in their own country.’’ Togadia blamed secularists and media for the present state of affairs of Hindus in India. He condemned Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Digvijay Singh for equating Bajrang Dal with SIMI. Speaking on the occasion, VHP president Ashok Singhal said secularists never presented a ‘‘correct picture’’ of the country. ‘‘And when leaders like me expose them they describe us as fundamentalists,’’ he said. He said in Kashmir over 1,000 people were killed in past few years. But when daughter of then Home minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed was kidnapped as a ‘‘conspiracy,’’ terrorists were freed in exchange for her release. The irony is that the same person is chosen to become the CM of J-K, he said. Pakistan is bent on dividing Kashmir and called upon the Hindu youths to foil the designs of the secularists, he added.
