Advani asks party unit to probe cash-for-coverage charge

In the wake of allegations that local journalists were bribed to cover his anti-corruption yatra,BJP leader L K Advani today said he will ask Madhya Pradesh party chief to inquire into the matter.

“I have taken note of your allegations. I will ask him to get an inquiry conducted into the incident,” said Advani when asked about allegations of certain local journalists that they were given currency notes of Rs 500 each in an envelope after a press conference by local BJP leaders on the yatra.

Advani said he was not aware of the facts and since journalists had brought it to his notice,he would get the incident inquired into. The local BJP unit,however,has denied the allegations.
