Indian captain Saurav Ganguly today sought to drive home the importance of winning close matches on his young teammates and said they should learn to survive the pressure in big games. Having lost another match of the tri-series against Australia narrowly, Ganguly admitted it was difficult to accept defeats in matches where the ‘‘result could have gone either way’’.‘‘We might have competed well but we are going out of the park as losers. It is difficult to take these defeats because you get 296 and still don’t manage to win a game,’’ he said. (PTI)
