Lee puts game before the rest

Brett Lee is back in town, like every year, to promote a new range of watches. Not just Indian cricketers, even foreigners have enjoyed the privileges attached to endorsing a product, and now with a cap on Indian players, the demand for outside cricketers in Indian ad world will only increase.

But Lee understands where to limit the urge for more endorsements and believes that, “endorsements have never affected my performance but I know the most important thing for me is cricket.

“You get endorsements only if you play good cricket. So that sums it all. There has to be a balance between advertising and cricket,” he says.

Lee however ferociously backed under-fire Sachin Tendulkar to keep playing cricket. “A lot has been said about this but no, Sachin should not retire. He should play till 50. On a more serious note, I think that this is something which only he can decide,” he said.
