NEW DELHI, December 18: LG Electronics, a South Korean multinational, has signed a sponsorship deal worth $ 15 million for consumer electronics, for the 1999 ICC World Cup in England. The deal allows LG Electronics to become the official supplier of consumer electronics and home appliances at all the World Cup venues, LG India managing director K R Kim said. The agreement was signed by ICC cricket World Cup tournament director Terry Blake and Kim here last night.

Blake said the 1999 event will be the first cricket World Cup when ICC would earn direct share of profit, which will be pooled back into the development of the game.
