CHENNAI, July 22: The committee of experts who probed into the fire accident at the Thanjavur temple on June 7, have called for an authority to issue licence for any temporary structure exceeding 100 mts, constructed for public gatherings. Such an authority must receive the applications and must scrutinise the same and there must be no compromise on safety, the panel held. The panel also called for clearance on various parameters from the concerned departments before any such gathering.
