BANGALORE, Aug. 11: The work on the Elevated Light Rail System for Bangalore will commence in 1999 and will be completed in about 10 years time. It might be noted that the UB Transit Systems had earlier entered into an understanding with a Japanese and an American firms for the project. An agreement on concessions is to be entered into next year, according to R V Deshpande, Large and Medium Industries.
