R.S. Lodha has filed a petition in the Calcutta High Court on Monday for grant of probate of the last will and testament of late Priyamvada Birla through which she bequeathed her entire property to him.
The Birla family has issued a statement saying they would contest the probate to ensure that the entire property was used for the purpose of charity.

Debanjan Mandal of Solicitor firm Fox & Mandal, acting on behalf of Lodha, said the will was a registered document and they would fight any contest on it.
