MUMBAI, JAN 13: Maharashtra is back as the partner state for the second time at the Indian Engineering Trade Fair (IETF'99), Asia's largest and most promising all industry fair being held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi between February 12 to 17, 1999. The exhibition is being organised by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the partner country Republic of Korea.Speaking to newsmen here today, Yashwant Bhave, Industry Secretary, Government of Maharashtra, stated that the state's participation at IETF will highlight investment potential to domestic and international investors. The state itself will be projecting its achievements in information technology, infrastructure, agro industry, tourism, entertainment and culture and automobiles.He said Maharashtra has decided to put up a pavilion which would be used as a focal point for all the industries in the state for corporate retention. Government departments and corporations will participate in this theme pavilion. State's leading development corporations like CIDCO and MIDC will have separate stalls. During the course of exhibition it has been decided to celebrate Maharashtra Investment Day, he added.
