Sandeep Chawla, an insurance agent, had pledged to donate his eyes seven years ago, but was unsuccessful in motivating others. But, he took another noble step last week by donating the eyes of his infant child who died just after birth.
In a gesture that should motivate others, he donated the eyes of his son who expired seven days after birth. The boy, named Arjun, was the child of Sandeep and Reena Chawla of Rudarpur in Udham Singh Nagar district.
“I feel relieved as some other child would be able to see the world through the eyes of my child,” Sandeep said.
