TIRUNELVELI, Nov 18: The Manimuthar Reservoir, one of the major irrigation systems in Tirunelveli district has been renovated recently by adopting the ‘upstream face treatment technology’ at an outlay of Rs 39 lakhs, with financial assistance from the World Bank. The dam has an impounding capacity of 5511 mcft, is located across the Manimuthar river, a major tributary of Tamiraparani river.
