Mayor supports concessions to SC/ST, Buddhists

CHANDIGARH, Sept 27: City Mayor Kewal Krishan Adiwal has supported the call for providing relaxation and concessions to SC/ST and Buddhist employees.

Adiwal was speaking at the third divisional-level conference organised by Divisional Committee, Chandigarh of SC/ST and Buddhists Welfare Association of Life Insurance of India at its office in Sector 17 here today. Corporation Deputy Mayor Bachan Singh and Jashvinder Singh, member of Control Committee BAMCEF were other guests.

Earlier, the role of SC/ST and Buddhists in making India a nation was also highlighted. Criticising the onslaught on SC/ST and Buddhists, depriving them of prevalent concessions and relaxations, the Mayor assured them of taking up the matter with the Prime Minister.
