VHP general secretary Praveen Togadia has proposed disciplinary action against BJP chief L K Advani for his Jinnah remarks during the Pakistan tour. Sources said the proposal has been accepted by the RSS supremo, K Sudarshan, for further discussion.

On the third day of the RSS conclave here, Togadia moved a proposal against Advani, saying his remarks has put a question mark over the Sangh’s ideology and has sent the wrong signal to BJP cadres, said sources.

‘‘Advani has done some disaster-management exercise by removing Kulkarni. But the damage has already been done to the Sangh’s ideology. The people have got a message that the BJP chief has taken a line of secular politics,’’ said a senior RSS official.

The Parivar is now trying to draw a plan of action to control the damage, sources said.

Sudarshan discussed three main issues at the meet today that, he said, needed urgent attention. First on the agenda was the removal of those who entered the Parivar by the means of money power.

Sudharshan also asked leaders to exercise restraint while dealing with delicate issues, especially in their speeches. That apart, a core committee has been formed to decide on Parivar’s policy matters. The members of this panel include K Sudarshan, Mohan Bhagwat, H O Sheshadri, Suresh Soni, Sureshrao Ketkar, Madhubhai Kuilkarni, Ram Madhav and Togadia.
