
Mumbai, Nov 20: Mekhla Subedar rallied to defeat Deepali Anvekar 7-9 9-2 9-1 9-3 and clinch the women’s title in the Indian Express CCI Western India squash tournament at CCI today. Junaid Nathani had a mixed bag today, beating Neerav Tomar in the Boys U-17 final, while losing to Mihir Kapoor in the U-19.

A 199-run partnership for the third wicket between centurions Ashok Kadam and Saket Adhikari helped PJ Hindu Gymkhana score 344 for 5 against MCA Colts on the first day of the two-day Police Invitation Cricket Shield Tournament, sponsored by Jayantilal Khandwala & Sons and Khandwala Securities, today. Kadam’s knock of 127 was studded with twenty two fours off 202 balls while Adhikari hit twenty six boundaries in his 137 which came in 179 balls.
The other centurion of the day was Nilesh Masurkar (103 n.o, 15×4) who helped Catholic Gymkhana declare at 343 for six against Mumbai University at Islam Gymkhana.
