NEW DELHI, December 30: The fog cover over the Capital was as blinding last night and in the early hours of the morning today as in the past few days. With visibility dropping to barely 10 metres, the weatherman predicted the same conditions for New Year’s Eve.
Rail services were disrupted in northern India again today. At least five trains were rescheduled and six were cancelled. Northern Railways has introduced extra trains to enable rail services to begin on time even if the incoming trains are delayed. The Railways has sanctioned an extra run for Lal Quila Express, Muzaffurpur Express and Kalka Howrah Mail, among others. The trains cancelled today were New Delhi-Bhatinda Express, Sadbhavan Express, Farraka Express, Nauchandi Express and Ganga Sutlej Express.
