
Taking note of the The Sunday Express report that the J&K police was probing the escape to Pakistan of a Hizbul Mujahideen commander who allegedly used the official car of a NC leader to reach Amritsar before crossing over, Chief Minister Mufti Mohammed Sayeed today sought an inquiry report on the incident ‘‘as soon as possible’’.
‘‘I want to know how a Hizb commander managed to get a fictitious passport,’’ Muft Sayeed told reporters in Srinagar after inaugurating the new passport office building.

NC leader Gul Rafeeqi’s former PA Farooq Ahmad Bhat, PSO Kewal Singh and driver Sham have already been held. The police have also registered a case against Rafeeqi.
