CHANDIGARH, Oct 13: The Flying Sikh’ Milkha Singh was unanimously elected the president of the Amateur Athletic Association, Chandigarh in the general body meeting of the AAAC held today at Hari Ram Hostel, DAV School-8. The president later nominated the other office bearers of the AAAC.

Ravinder Choudhary was nominated secretary while Parveen Kumar was the treasurer.

The other office bearers are: Ravinder Talwar and SN Singla (senior vice-presidents); Brahmjeet Kalia, RS Gorya, Saroj Gupta, Asha Sharma, Gulzar Singh, Ranjeet Singh, VP Paul, DS Bedi and Karam Singh (vice-presidents); Kuldeep Singh, Neena Chopra and Iqbal Singh (joint secretaries). Maha Singh, Vaneet Chawla, M.L. Vairagi, Arvind, GS Sidhu, Baljeet Bhatti, Kapoor Singh and Ajmer Singh are the members of the executive committee.

It may be recalled that another faction of AAAC had conducted election yesterday. The office bearers were: Shangra Singh (secretary); Gurdip Singh Sandhu (president); SK Joshi (treasurer).
