NAGPUR, JAN 20: A gang of four unidentified miscreants intercepted a truck carrying a consignment of textile material at Mathni along the Nagpur-Bhandara highway and decamped with the vehicle after assaulting and robbing its driver and the goods’ owner.

The truck was later found abandoned near Pardi Naka in the city and the consignment untouched. However, a search was launched for the men, who have been booked by the Mouda police for robbery and common motive.

This is the second instance of highway robbery in as many days in the Mouda police area after three armed men waylaid a duo on a moped at village Savli, attacked one of them with a sword and robbed them of Rs 640.
