EEGALAPENTA (AP), July 15: The young woman who was lost in the Srisalam forests after she fled from an armed robber who held up a bus on Tuesday morning, has been located by a search party, and the robber apprehended by villagers and handed over to police. The 20-year-old woman, Kiranmayi, had been taken hostage, along with another woman, by the robber, a former extremist, but the women managed to escape. The other woman rejoined the bus passengers, but Kiranmayi was lost, and rescue teams were skeptical about finding her as the area is a tiger reserve. However, after the robber was handed over to police, he took the search party to the spot where Kiranmayi fell into a deep ravine, and they found her, semi-consious, bruised, and with a fractured leg, but safe.
