ISLAMABAD, Dec 13: Dozens of people armed with sticks stormed a court in a Pakistani city to protest against an order, reports said on Saturday.The mob burst into the courtroom of the civil judge in Faisalabad on Friday after it banned the blocking of a main road for a weekly bazaar, the official news agency APP reported.
The demonstrators tried to manhandle the court staff, the agency said. The police was asked by the judicial authorities to take action against those involved in the rowdyism and the city’s lawyers community strongly protested against the incident, it added.
Last month the country’s Supreme Court in Islamabad was attacked by a mob protesting against a contempt case involving government leaders.
