SAS NAGAR, Dec 16:As a part of the on-going anti-enchroachment drive, the enforcement staff of the Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) today demolished 5 more structures constructed outside Bhabat village in periphery near Zirakpur, about 4 km from Chandigarh.
The process of demolition began at 2 pm and lasted for two hours until 4 pm. However, no untoward incident was reported during the process of demolitions today.
The affected people accused the PUDA officials of being partial and having adopted pick and choose policy. Describing these allegations as baseless, the PUDA officials supervising the drive told Newsline that those structures which had been built on or before December 10 this year were left untouched.
