MSU plans to install CCTVs at campus

AIMING to step up security levels at the M S University campus, Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramesh Goyal is conducting a series of meetings with wardens in the hostels and the Head of Departments.

AIMING to step up security levels at the M S University (MSU) campus, Vice-Chancellor Prof Ramesh Goyal is conducting a series of meetings with wardens in the hostels and the Head of Departments (HoD).

Meanwhile, varsity authorities have confirmed that orders have been placed for CCTVs.

Prof Goyal said he is meeting wardens of all the hostels to check on illegal occupancy in the hotels.

He said, “We are looking forward to install CCTVs in all the faculties in a phased manner. We have placed orders for a few CCTVs, but more will be set up in a few months.”

At the moment, university authorities will need at least 24 CCTVs.

Sources said that orders for 16 CCTVs will soon be placed, and the rest will be purchased from funds allotted to the faculty.
