Rattled over the use of police force against his partymen, Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh on Sunday appealed to the administrative and police personnel to defy any ‘‘unconstitutional and illegal orders’’ of the Mayawati government.
‘‘You have vowed to abide by the Constitution. Do not tarnish your glorious tradition by committing atrocities on the Opposition on the orders of a corrupt and unjust Mayawati government,’’ the SP chief said.
