Rs 21 lakh forex seized

  • Air Intelligence Unit officers seized foreign currency worth over Rs 21 lakh from two Iranian passengers at Sahar airport on Monday. The currency was concealed in clothes packed in the baggage of Rasoul Saraji Onsoroudi and Fariba Sadeghi.
  • Bharatanatyam arangetram

  • The Bharatanatyam arangetram of Deepti Rao, disciple of Chhaya Khavante, has been organised at the Viswesaraya Memorial Hall, Karnataka Sanhga, off T H Kataria marg, Mogul Lane, near Matunga Road station (west) on May 1, at 7 pm.
  • "Dial-a-cool cab" service launched

  • Gulf Oil India, Arya Communications and Omni Talk will launch its 24-hour "dial-a-cool-cab" service on May 1, which will connect about 200 cabs with a Radio Wireless System. Passengers can dial 613 1111 and call the cabs to their doorstep from Vashi to Nariman Point. The fare is the normal cool cab tariff.
