Film journalist passes away

M S KRISHNA, film journalist, passed away on September 27 at 3.30 pm due to a cardiac arrest. Krishna enjoyed a long tenure as film editor of Blitz and wrote the highly popular `Off-Camera’ column. He was also a regular columnist for Ananda Bazar Patrika’s Anandalok for over two decades and of late had been contributing to Cine Advance, Women’s Era, Alive and The Sun. He was 73 years old and is survived by his wife and children.

Techfest at Watamull

A national level technical symposium – Watts 99 – is being organised by the Watumull Institute of Technology. The symposium will be held from September 30 to October 1 at the institute’s campus at Worli and is open to degree and post-graduate students of computers, electronics and instrumentation technology.

Weekend wildlife camps
