The National Organisation for Tobacco Eradication has appealed to all youngsters to boycot the bravery awards organised by the Red and White cigarette brand of Godfrey Philips India. It is preferable to receive a national award for bravery from the President of India rather from than from the cigarette industry, said a release. NOTE said smoking of Red and White cigarettes is neither bravery nor an act of courage, which the advertisement issued by the cigarette company on the award ceremony seem to reflect. Tobacco is known to be as addictive as heroin, cocaine or alcohol, added the release.
