
A-I’s alternative healing therapy
Air-India has become the first public sector undertaking to provide alternative healing therapies for its staff members. It has set up a new clinic at A-I’s medical services department at Kalina to provide homeopathic, ayurvedic, acupressure and acupuncture treatment for its employees. Doctors and practitioners from these medical streams will be initially visiting the airline clinic once a week. The frequency of the visits will be increased gradually to match the demand from the employees, according to a news release issued by the A-I.
An appeal
As there is always a scarcity of blood when required in life threatening emergencies, Dr. Dinesh Thakkar is planning to create a Directory of voluntary blood donors. He requests readers to contribute towards the life of others. When ready the directory will be kept at all major Hospitals, Blood Banks and Big Nursing Homes. Persons interested may write their Name, Age, Sex, Address, Telephone No. and Blood Group. If the Blood Group is not known it can be checked at specific centers near your residence at nominal cost. Free treatment n Mayor Vishakha Raut will inaugurate a one-day free asthma treatment camp on Friday. The camp is organised by P L Kamani from Hyderabad, who is a well-known ayurved. The venue of the camp is Maharashtra School No. 2, Gokhale Road, Dadar (West).
