Gas ServiceThe Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited has launched an automated telebooking service (Interactive voice response) for HP gas consumers for refill booking. This facility has been introduced for the first time for booking of refills. It will give the consumer his booking number on the phone itself. This facility has been launched at three HP dealerships in Mumbai at Walkeshwar, Girgaun and Malad east. Degree ceremonyThe annual convocation ceremony for the Mumbai University degree and diploma holders for the year 1997 will be held in the month of December this year. Candidates who want their degrees and diplomas as per the University Statute 403 may apply to the varsity during the period from July 14 to August 14 (without late fee) and from August 18 to September 17 (with late fee).The prescribed application form with a bank challan can be obtained on payment of Rs 15 in cash from the Registrar's Office, University of Mumbai, Fort, Mumbai 400032, or from the Examination House at Kalina Campus.Application forms can also be obtained by post from the Deputy Registrar (F & A), Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Bhavan, Vidyanagri, Kalina, Mumbai 400098 by sending a self addressed envelope (25 cm X 10 cm) having affixed postal stamp of Rs 4 and accompanied by the MICR Demand Draft of Rs 15. This draft should be drawn in favour of the Finance and Accounts Officer, University of Mumbai.UNESCO talkn DR Renuka H Narang, director, department of adult and continuing education and extension, Mumbai University, has been invited to speak on `Indian universities and the future of adult education in the 21 st century' organised by the UNESCO, to be held at Hamburg.
