Lab guard shot at in Jogeshwari
A watchman was shot at when he prevented an unidentified person from entering a laboratory premises at Jogeshwari this evening. According to the police, the incident took place around 3.45 pm when the man, under the pretence of enquiring about the address of a place, tried to enter Ramon Laboratory located at Patel Industrial Estate. When the watchman tried to prevent him from doing so, the man pulled a revolver tucked under his shirt and fired at the victim, police added.

Byculla flyover inaugurated
The Byculla flyover which underwent beautification with the efforts of the Giants Group of Byculla and Britania Industries Ltd was inaugurated on Saturday by Municipal Commissioner K Nalinakshan. A cash donation of Rs 50,000 was also made by the Giants group to the Orissa Cyclone Relief Fund on the occasion.

Cash left behind in taxi
Mohammed Zumer has deposited in the Bombay Taximen’s Union office Rs 25,700 in cash found in his taxi (No.MHO1-G-2797) left behind by a passenger. The owner of the cash may claim it on any working day on producing the necessary evidence.

Exhibition on garbage
The Association of Youth for a Better India (AYBI) will organise exhibitions in 20 schools and colleges in the city from November 24. The show will deal with the problems of paper, plastic and garbage, besides providing solutions for each problem.
