
MUMBAI, NOVEMBER 9: A fine leg spin bowling by Sanchit Pande and well supported by left arm medium pacer Uday Karkera and off spinner Sidharth Bhatkar helped MUmbai to take vital first innings lead of 90 runs over Gujrat on the second day of the three day Cooch Behar under-19 West Zone League match at Wankhede Stadium here on Thursday.
Gujrat chasing a target of 290 were bowled out for 200, just before close of play. Opener Deep Trivedi was the main run-getter with 76 which included seven fours off 214 balls. He was eighth batsman to be out. He was involved in a 59 runs partnership for the sixth-wicket with Rajanikant Patel (33).
There after Siddharth Trivedi who was main wicket taker for Gujrat chipped in with an unbeaten 33. Pande was the most successful bowler with three for 43 off 15 overs while Karkera and Bhatkar took two wickets each.
In the morning Mumbai resuming at 262 for 6 were bowled out for 290. Bhavin Thakkar who was batting on 45 remained unbeaten on 66 with the help of nine fours in 168 balls.
